Flor Aurora Limas, M.D., F.A.C.O.G.

Dr. Flor Limas was born in Pharr, Texas and raised in the northern part of Mexico. Ever since she can remember she had always wanted to become a doctor. Helping those in need has always brought happiness to her life. As a result, she attended the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and graduated in 2005 with a degree in PreMed Biology and minor in Chemistry. Dr. Limas then attended the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston where she obtained her Medical Doctor degree in 2009. During those four years in medical school she was privileged to experience many different areas of medicine and during her OB/GYN rotation, she fell in love with women’s  health. Dr. Limas enjoyed the satisfaction of improving the life of many women, spending time explaining their conditions, and ultimately having a great impact in each of the lives of the women and their families. The variety she found in the OB/GYN field gave her the opportunity to  integrate surgery, preventive medicine, education to women plus experiencing the miracle of pregnancy and delivery. She stayed at the University for the residency program and completed the Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences Specialty in 2013. She enjoys working in the Rio Grande Valley caring for women of all ages. Her medical interest include minimally invasive gynecological surgery and high risk pregnancies. Dr. Limas enjoys dancing and spending time with friends and family. Dr. Limas has privileges at the following hospitals – Doctors Hospital at Renaissance (Women’s Hospital at Renaissance), Mission Regional Medical Center and Rio Grande Regional Hospital.

María Minerva Limas, M.D.

Dr. María Minerva Limas was born in Weslaco, Texas and raised in the northern part of México. She became interested in becoming a doctor from a young age after watching her sister, Dr. Flor Limas, pursue a career in medicine. She attended the University of Texas – Rio Grande Valley and graduated in 2014 with a degree in Pre-Med Biology and minor in Chemistry and Medical Spanish. Dr. Minerva Limas then attended McGovern Medical School at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, Texas where she obtained her Medical Doctor degree in 2016. Following her sister’s footsteps while also becoming passionate about women’s health, she entered Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas and completed a residency program in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2024. Dr. Minerva Limas is happy to be back in the Rio Grande Valley where she has joined Born Again Obstetrics & Gynecology and is excited to take care of the community where she grew up in. Her medical interests include preventative medicine, high risk pregnancy management, and minimally invasive gynecologic surgery. Dr. Minerva Limas enjoys cooking and trying new restaurants in the area. Brenda Bazan, FNP.

Brenda Bazan was born and raised in Rio Grande City, TX. As a child, her grandmother was in and out of the hospital. When she would visit her, she would observe the nurses and what they did every day. Since then, she began to aspire one day become a nurse and also help those in need of medical treatment. When she graduated high school, she went on to pursue her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree at Texas A & M University Corpus Christi where she graduated from in 2012. Brenda then moved back to the Rio Grande Valley where she began to work at Women’s Hospital at Renaissance in Labor and Delivery. She later became certified in Inpatient Obstetric Nursing. Brenda wanted to continue to help women outside of the hospital and she later pursued her Master of Science in Nursing degree at The University of Texas at Arlington. Brenda is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner with over 10 years of experience in Women’s Health as an obstetrics nurse and she now loves providing care to women of all ages, especially those seeking and experiencing pregnancy. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends and enjoys a nice day out.

Idalia Reyna, FNP-C.

Idalia Reyna, born and raised in the Rio Grande Valley, discovered her calling early in life. After experiencing the loss of a loved one to cancer, she resolved to dedicate herself to healthcare—a path where she could make a difference for others. Her journey began at Manatee Technical Institute in Florida, where she graduated as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in 2000. For a decade, Idalia provided compassionate nursing care across diverse settings, touching the lives of patients in every stage of their health journey. But her hunger for knowledge drove her further. In 2010, she graduated as a Registered Nurse (RN) from South Texas College. Her passion found a home in the Labor and Delivery unit at Women’s Hospital at Renaissance, where she witnessed the miracle of birth firsthand. Certified in Inpatient Obstetric Nursing, Idalia became an advocate for pregnant women, ensuring their safety and well-being during this pivotal time. Never one to settle, Idalia pursued higher education. In 2020, she proudly received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Grand Canyon University. But her quest didn’t end there. The University of Texas at Arlington welcomed her, and in 2024, she emerged as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), a title that encapsulates her commitment to comprehensive care. Idalia’s heart lies in supporting women of all ages, especially during pregnancy. Her expertise extends beyond medical knowledge; it’s rooted in empathy, understanding, and a genuine desire to empower all her patients. Idalia Reyna’s story reminds us that compassion, resilience, and lifelong learning define exceptional healthcare professionals. She continues to touch lives, one patient at a time.
